Welcome
I am so glad you've taken some time to read about my mission opportunity this summer. I will be heading to Illmamen, a tiny Maasai (click to read about the Maasai people) village SE of the Kenyan capital of Nairobi. Our goal and our vision is to allow God to use us to affect change in the area through health education and relief. We have the wonderful opportunity to address difficult issues that are plaguing the area and will be assisting doctors in treating patients.
I would be happy to keep you informed of our progress in preparation and fund raising on this website.

07/01/11 - We are leaving 4 weeks from today! Please be in prayer that our hearts be prepared for what God will do through us!
July 10th - Join us for an evening of music and prayer as "Harmony" holds a benefit concert at FBCR to raise money for this and other missions at FBCR this summer. Program begins at 6:30, but come early to bid on many wonderful items at our silent auction before and after the concert!
6/22/11 - Many thanks to Spring Creek BBQ for their help in our fundraiser! We raised $1200 to help feed and house participants of our youth helath conference!

6/6/11 - Spring Creek Fundraiser:
Thank you to all who cam out and supported this fundraiser. It really was overwhelming to see so many smiling faces from our church there. Such a blessing!! I don't have numbers on how much we raised just yet, but will be recieving a check in a formal presentation during choir practice on 6/22/11. Thanks again!! These funds will all go to the people of Illmamen, Kenya and to the conference itself.
